What is Mulesing you might ask?

Mulesing is a controversial practice in sheep farming that involves the surgical removal of strips of skin from the sheep's hindquarters, often without anesthesia. This is done to prevent flystrike, a condition where flies lay eggs in the sheep’s wool, but it can cause significant pain and distress to the animals. Many animal welfare advocates consider mulesing unethical due to the suffering it inflicts and the availability of more humane alternatives. By choosing mulesing-free wool, we support the well-being of sheep and promote more ethical farming practices.
